Benefits of WPA framework for Timber Window & Door products
The WPA framework for timber window and door products offers our clients products that are designed to meet the latest edition requirements of the Building Regulations and Building (Scotland) Regulations.
All windows and doors are compliant to BS 644, BS EN 14351-1 and PAS 24 and are CE Marked to the harmonised standard relating to performance characteristics for windows and doors (BS EN 14351-1).
The framework also incorporates requirements laid down by the Wood Window Alliance and incorporates security options which conform to BS 7950, PAS 24 and Secured by Design.
Health, safety and environmental specifications address fire safety, air management, accessibility and use of buildings, special needs hardware, child safety, high performance glazing, self-cleaning glass and energy efficiency.
All timber used on products is legally sourced from sustainably managed forests. On refurbishment projects, existing windows and doors are removed and responsibly disposed of for recycling.
Design advice and support services include interpretation and conformity to regulatory requirements, planning assistance, full survey and installation service, programming and resident liaison. Surveying and installation follow the guidance set out in BS 8213-4, which includes all finishing off and making good.
A 10-year product and installation guarantee is provided.
Framework for England, Wales and Scotland effective from August 2018 to 31st July 2022.
